Beautiful Treasure

When our son was just a tiny babe,

we began to pray

For the woman God would bring to him

to be his wife someday.

We prayed that He would keep her safe

from all danger and all harm.

That He would guide her and protect her,

and keep her safely in His arm.

We asked that He would raise her

to know of His merciful grace.

And that somewhere in her lifetime

she would seek His loving face.

We requested that He would give her

the strength only He can give,

So that she would have the courage

for our Christ and Lord to live.

Our prayers for our son's wife were answered

the day you walked in our door.

You're a beautiful, loving treasure -

we couldn't ask for more!

We thank God for bringing you to our son,

and into our lives, too.

You're the daughter that we prayed for.

A blessing from God so true.
